ちょっと前にヨドバシカメラで観た4Kテレビの映像は、細部までクッキリとリアルに再現されていて印象的でした。
ところで、1年前にNHK放送技術研究所が2018年に8Kを本放送する事を発表したのをご存知でしょうか？
8Kテレビなんて、という声が聞こえてきそうですが、技術的には実用化可能な段階にあります。
スーパーハイビジョン（英称：8K Ultra High Definition Television, 8K Ultra HDTV, 8K UHDTV, 8K UHD）はNHK放送技術研究所が中心となって研究開発を行っているデジタルビデオフォーマットである。水平7,680×垂直4,320の画素数（4320p）、1秒あたりのフレーム数60枚などに加えて、大画面・超高精細度テレビで課題であった速く動く被写体の「動きぼやけ」を低減するための規格として、1秒あたりのフレーム数120枚を追加、実物に近い色再現が可能となる色域の拡張を行っている[1]。

8Kは標準的なフルHDの16倍の画素数でピクセル数でいうと7,680×4,320へ、東京オリンピックはやはりスーパーハイビジョンでの放送になるのでしょうか？
最近衝撃だったのは、9to5macによると、韓国のLGは「Appleは今年iMacの8Kをリリースする」と出ていました。

それにしても、2014年の終わりにAppleからiMac Retina 5Kディスプレイモデルが発売されたばかりなのに、一足先に8Kディスプレイをリリースするとは驚きです。
今流行のFULL WIDTH WEBデザインですが、どこまでの画面幅まで対応して良いのか・・・レシポンシブルWEBではスマホから8Kまで対応が大変です（涙）
気になる値段ですが、27インチ：3.5GHz Retina 5Kディスプレイモデルが￥258,800 (税別) で販売されていますが、幾らの値段で販売されるのか？20万円代なら買っちゃうかもしれません
